81 years of Saint Mary’s Catholic School. 81 years of faith, family, tradition, and memories. 💙🩶

Today, our Saint Mary’s family gathered around the flagpole to honor where we began. Surrounded by pieces of our history, including an original school desk, a retired 48 star American flag, our original plaid uniform, an apple like teachers once received, and a bell that once called students to class, we celebrated the traditions that have carried on through generations.

Our 4th graders raised the Catholic and American flags, Ms. Maddox, a Saint Mary’s alumna and faculty member for more than 2 decades, led us in prayer and our verse of the year, and the familiar sound of the old bell dismissed our students.

A beautiful legacy of 81 years, and the heart of Saint Mary’s School remains the same. Every day showing courage, wisdom, and the love of God.

If you are an SMS alum, a previous faculty member or parent/grandparent of our great school, let us know your favorite SMS tradition! 🫶 Happy Founders Day! 🔔💙🩶

It’s a great day to be in Kindergarten! ☀️😄 Sometimes you need to start the day letting the wiggles out! 💃🕺

Saint Mary’s Catholic School showed up and showed out at our annual Spirit Night at the Rome Emperors game last Friday! ⚾️💙

Our students sang the National Anthem beautifully and kicked the game off by belting the famous words, “Play ball!” Names were drawn for who would play the fun games throughout the ball game. We had some collecting dandelions in the Dandelion Dash, one who guessed the right bottle in the Hot Sauce Shuffle, one of our shining stars was up in the box as the junior PA announcer, and one of our new missionaries easily Beat the Heat! 🔥

It was a fun night to celebrate with our community and we are so excited to see so many Saint Mary’s families fill the ballpark! We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🩶⚾️🐧

Go Knights! & Thank you Rome Emperors for having us!

A VERY special thank you to Dynamic Cuts Lawn Care for making our school even more beautiful! 🌳 Their generous hearts have done great work keeping our school looking pristine and so well kept.

They replaced older bushes with new vibrant bushes 🌸 and stoned the entire length of our main building and around our Mary statue. Doesn’t she look beautiful?!

Thank you, Dynamic Cut! 👏
