🌾 What an amazing week at AG Camp! 🌾

This week was full of hands-on learning and unforgettable experiences for our campers!

Monday: Mr. and Mrs. Langley taught campers about honey bees. Students observed a live hive in an observation tower and enjoyed tasting different honeys. 🐝
Tuesday: Nora Cook with Cook Farm shared all about horses, horse care, and anatomy. Campers even got to ride horses and explore horse bones. 🐴
Wednesday: Ben Winkleman from the Eco Center brought a king snake and an American alligator, and campers completed a wetlands scavenger hunt. 🐍🐊
Thursday: Campers completed a Vitamin C lab and learned about nutrition, then Regina Detwiler with Detwiler Farms brought sheep for students to learn about. 🐑
Friday: We wrapped up with review games, homemade ice cream, and an awards ceremony. 🍦🏆

A huge thank you to Mrs. Price and her Education Pathway students for helping lead games and activities throughout the week.

We are also so grateful to our sponsors—Floyd County Farm Bureau, Dale Willerson with Keller Williams Realty, and Hannah Bagley with Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful—for helping make this camp possible.

Thank you to everyone who helped make AG Camp such a fun and meaningful week for our campers! 💙💛 🌱

Our 7th grade Agriculture students celebrated Earth Day by getting their hands dirty in the Rome Middle School garden! 🌱

They planted crops grown by our 8th grade students in the greenhouse—what a full-circle moment! From seed to soil, our students are learning the importance of sustainability, teamwork, and caring for our environment. 🌎💚

So proud of these students for growing something great together!
