Our students from the department of Natural Sciences welcomed The Lewis Chemical Company to campus this morning for their Science Seminar, where they learned more about the company, their work, and career opportunities within the field.

We’re grateful for professionals who take the time to share their experience with our students and give them a look at where their Shorter education can take them!

Behind every great learning experience is a faculty member willing to bring the classroom to life. 🎬

Professor Katherine Dudley Blair brings her experience as an award-winning filmmaker into the classroom, giving Shorter Communications students the opportunity to learn film production by actually doing it.

From directing and camera work to sound and other production roles, students gain hands-on experience while learning each part of the filmmaking process.

This is what learning looks like in Shorter’s Communication Studies program. 💙🎥

A big congratulations to Shorter alumnus Daniel Bosarge and his wife, Jenna, on the grand opening of the Children’s Museum of Rome! 🎉

What began as a dream is now an incredible new resource for children and families in our community. Through years of vision, hard work, and dedication, Daniel and Jenna helped make that dream a reality right here in Rome.

We love seeing our Shorter alumni making a difference, and we are proud to celebrate this exciting milestone with the Bosarge family!

Be sure to stop by and experience this wonderful new addition to our community.
