Let’s give a big congratulations to James Goble and Stewart Cates! They were named National Cyber Scholarship Scholars for Cybersecurity. Their Computer Science Teacher, Ms. Nichols is incredibly proud!

Congratulations to the 200 + pathway completers who earned graduation cords Thursday! These students make up the 22 different pathways the CCA has to offer, everything from graphics to law to culinary. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish!

The Rome High Chapter of FFA recently took part in their State Convention where Stephanie Rios, who serves as the RHS FFA Chapter Vice President, had a big weekend. Rios received her State FFA Degree and placed 4th for her competition in Agriscience: Social Systems Division with her project. Nice job!

Senior Judson Bray, pictured with his Graphics teacher, Mr. Humphries, impressed the judges in a big way at SkillsUSA State Competition back in March, that he was accepted to a two day advanced print training at Heidelberg North America in Smyrna. He just completed courses in technical printing and troubleshooting. Jud plans to continue training and working towards a career with Heidelberg. We are so proud of Jud and love seeing our CCA students pursue their passion!

Career learning at its best! Monday, the Public Safety/Law classes heard from guest speaker Candace Foster, who is an EMT with Atrium Health. Ms. Foster spoke with students about her day to day duties as an EMT in our amazing city of Rome.

Work it, wolves!

The Work Based Learning Career Recruitment Expo happened Thursday, with juniors and seniors able to talk to potential employers and even interview! This is the mission of the CCA, preparing our wolves for work and college.
