Elm Street's STEM program: Students solving real world problems From the levels of soil erosion and their impact on farming to the position of the sun and methods for measuring distance and mapping the world, students in Elm Street

Georgia Public School Day of Service ✨🌿
What A great Day participating in the Georgia Public School Day of Service! Our students headed out to the GE Trails at Garrard Park to make meaningful, lasting enhancements to the trail through their Enterprise Hour projects.
Each grade level participated in something special:
🌱 Pre-K: Planting their handmade seed bombs
🌼 Kindergarten: Planting recycled paper embedded with seeds
🦊 1st Grade: Identifying animal habitats and adding signs to highlight the animals that live along the trail
🐝 2nd Grade: Installing pollinator stations and bee houses
🐦 3rd Grade: Hanging birdhouses
🌿 4th Grade: Planting herbs they have grown
🧹 5th Grade: Cleaning up trash and identifying areas that may need attention due to erosion
💧 6th Grade: Installing solar-powered water fountains and updating the Story Trail
Our students have worked hard to create projects that serve our community while protecting and enhancing our local environment. We can’t wait for you to see all the exciting improvements we made to the trail!
