UMN Extension Winona County 4-H and Ms. Mika are back! The students at RCS absolutely love when it’s 4-H day! 🍀Today everyone learned about photography, they used thermal cameras to print pictures, and decorated magnetic frames for them. 📸 The kiddos loved sharing their photos and frames!

There’s Still Time to Find Your School Family! 🚀

The school year is underway at Rollingstone Community School, and we’re reminded every day of what makes our school special. ❤️ At RCS, students are more than a number.

✨ Small class sizes — more individual attention and opportunities to know every student

🤝 A caring, family-like community — where students and staff know, support, and look out for one another

📚 Full special education services — students receive the supports they need to learn, grow, and succeed right here at RCS

💙 student support services — additional academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support for students who need it

🚀 A school where every student belongs — and every child has a place to shine

We believe that sometimes smaller really is better.

If you’ve been considering a different school experience for your child, now is a great time to learn more about Rollingstone Community School.

At RCS we’re so proud of the positive choices, kindness, responsibility, and great examples our students show throughout our school. When they’re caught being “Rocket Role Models” they can earn a ticket and deliver it to the office.

Every couple of weeks Mr. R chooses a few names and recognizes those students during morning announcements for demonstrating respectful, responsible, and safe behavior at school!

Each Rocket Role Model receives a certificate and a token to use in our book vending machine! The excitement on their faces when they hear their name announced is priceless!

Rollingstone Community School is excited to continue our partnership with the Winona State University Physical Education Department!

Through this partnership, a WSU professor works directly with our students during PE class while WSU students observe, learn, and gain valuable hands-on experience throughout the semester. As the semester progresses, our WSU students gradually take on more responsibility and begin leading portions of PE class—with the guidance and support of their professor and our school.

This partnership is a win-win for everyone! Our students get access to:
⭐ More equipment and new activities
⭐ New ideas and expanded PE opportunities
⭐ Additional support and instruction
⭐ Opportunities to learn from future PE professionals

We are grateful to the Winona State University PE Department for investing in our students and helping us create more opportunities to move, play, learn, and grow!

Rollingstone Community School + WSU Warriors = A Great Partnership!

🚀 Made with care. Donated with heart. ❤️

A BIG Rocket thank you to Excel Images for generously donating this year’s RCS Rocket Walk T-shirts for every student and staff member!

Seeing our Rockets walking together in their shirts made an already special day even better—and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of an amazing local business.

We are so grateful for community partners who show up for our school and our students in such meaningful ways.

Thank you, Excel Images, for being in RCS’s corner! 🚀❤️

Mrs. Sieves class has been learning about communities, and our community needed their help! Students worked together to design and build a bridge using the provided materials to connect the neighborhood to the new park across the river. So much teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving!
