Before children read words, they learn to hear sounds. 👂
“I Spy” with beginning sounds is one of the easiest ways to build that skill in the car, in the grocery line, or at the dinner table. Say “I spy something that starts with /b/…” and let your little one guess.
Start with simple sounds like /m/, /s/, and /b/. Then move on to ending sounds and rhymes. (Use the SOUND, not the letter name: “mmm,” not “em.”)
Short, playful, zero prep. 🎉
BriteMinds’ Early Skills program for Pre-K to 3rd grade builds reading, math, and social confidence through play.
