Open stage for a performance opportunity!

TOMORROW AFTERNOON! 4PM.

in the Promenade PV 2nd floor.

Music lessons and youth sports always appears to be in competition with each other. This shouldn’t ever be the case as both are important for forming healthy life skills: developing grit, a good work ethic, and measuring true achievements.

Where athletic programs excel and many music programs fall short is frequent opportunities to test and tune their developing skills: Games every weekend. They’re dressed in game jerseys. The whole family is invited and involved. We see social media posts packed with images of a big touchdown, the home run, breakaway layups, goalie saves!

Many music programs will only do a winter recital, a spring recital, and just week after week of lessons in between. Meanwhile their siblings win medals, take glowing team pictures, and grandpa boasting on Facebook and Instagram about their star shortstop in 7u t-ball.

We get the other side too. Recitals are difficult (and expensive) for your teachers to plan. What if your kid makes a mistake?

(Kids miss layups too)

There’s so much pressure to be perfect.

(With only two recitals a year, this pressure is magnified).

Let PVMH set up the recitals. We do it monthly! Low pressure. Plenty of parking and places to eat afterwards. It’s not about perfection but the focus is on DEVELOPMENT. Music is meant to be fun, it’s called “play” for a reason. Music is meant to be meaningful, filled with feelings and experiences too complex for words. It will change lives and make beautiful things to be shared over a lifetime.

Still plenty of slots available for our regular recital series! Any local music student looking for a low-pressure performance opportunity is invited to participate.

Hope to see you there!
