Adult Education and Literacy programs across Missouri offer dynamic Integrated Education and Training opportunities in multiple career pathways. One standout is the Substitute Teacher/Paraprofessional IET, which equips learners with real classroom skills and helps schools meet the state’s ongoing teacher shortage with confident, classroom-ready substitutes and paraprofessionals. More than 200 adult learners completed substitute teacher and paraprofessional courses through AEL programs in the last year. Their achievements are not only personal, but they also strengthen families, grow our schools, support employers, and enrich communities.
