We had a great turnout for the Corporate Mixer! It was great to network with representatives from Anheuser-Busch, Cargill, Orica, Marathon, Phillips 66, and Exxon!

ChemE car competition is in full swing with your Miners currently ranking in at the 1 and 2 position!!

Last night kicked off the start to our hosting of the Mid-America Student Regional Conference for AIChE! Teams from across the Midwest participated in tours at Brewer Science and Mo-Sci before checking in their ChemE Car for introduction and safety inspection. Teams then ended the evening with an OXE sponsored social at Public House and bowling at Coachlite Lanes. Come check out the ChemE Car competition beginning at 9 am in Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, and the fabulous research being presented in Bertelsmeyer Hall throughout the day! Last week Missouri S&T fielded two teams for a trivia night hosted by the St. Louis Local Section of AIChE. It was ran extremely well, and a good time was had by all!

A big thank you to everyone who came out to make Interstate 44 a little cleaner! The Missouri S&T AIChE chapter held their second highway cleanup of the semester on Sunday, and treated all volunteers to Cookin’ from Scratch afterwards. If you would like to come out, make a difference, and eat a hearty meal, then join us on October 14th from 10-12 for our final cleanup of the semester!

The Missouri S&T AIChE hosted a corporate mixer last night with Marathon Petroleum, Phillips 66, ExxonMobil, Cargill, Emerson, and NAVAIR all in attendance. There was great discussion along with a Q&A session in preparation for the largest career fair on record with 330 companies today. Good luck, Miners!

On Tuesday, September 18th, the Missouri S&T AIChE chapter hosted Barret Von Behren, Jeff Mueller, and Tommy Skinner from Marathon Petroleum Company in conjunction with their campus cookout. We had an excellent meeting and would like to thank the folks at the Illinois Refining Division of MPC for their generous donation of $1500 to our student chapter!

This semester we had great sister chapters at SENAI CIMATEC in Salvador, Brazil and at Cairo University in Giza, Egypt. Hope that continues for semesters to come!
