Miner Alumni Association The official page for alumni of Missouri School of Mines, University of Missouri-Rolla, and Missouri University of Science and Technology

Missouri S&T is admired around the world for preparing students and creating research that solves the problems of a technological society. Our more than 71,000 alumni have changed the world in which we live – and they believe Missouri S&T gave them the personal and professional foundation to do so. In return, over 65% of alumni have contributed to their alma mater with over 20% doing so each and every year. We are proud to work together with our alumni, donors and friends to advance the future of the university.

⭐Meet the Board: Alan Green⛏

Alan, serves as an Area 2 Director on the Miner Alumni Association Board of Directors.

A graduate of the Missouri S&T (then UMR), Alan earned his degree in Civil Engineering in 1978 after completing a five-year co-op program with the Missouri State Highway Department. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and a co-inventor on a U.S. patent related to refinery pressure vessels.

Even in retirement, Alan remains active in his profession through organizations such as ASHRAE and the International District Energy Association, where he serves on several technical committees.

Alan and his wife, Colleen, have been married for more than 50 years. During their time in Rolla, they were active members of Mates, and today they enjoy retirement in Osprey, Florida.

Thank you, Alan, for your leadership, service, and continued dedication to Missouri S&T and its alumni community!

🌟 Meet the Board: Katie Kuehn ⛏

We're proud to introduce Katie Kuehn, Area 2 Director, and a proud Missouri S&T alumna!

Katie serves as the Wind Major Component Planning Manager at NextEra Energy, where she manages major component exchanges for a fleet of more than 12,000 wind turbines across 22 states and three Canadian provinces. Prior to joining NextEra, she managed long-term major replacement projects at the Saint Lucie Nuclear Plant.

A lifelong learner, Katie earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Missouri S&T in 2013, as well as a B.S. in Conservation Biology from Saint Louis University and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Auburn University.

When she's not helping power communities through renewable energy, Katie enjoys spending time on the water in Florida, cooking, gardening, and tackling house remodeling projects.
