Teachers' Corner - Repurposed items for education

TC sure could use some volunteers to help pack up remaining inventory headed for the thrift store. And help sorting and hauling off the recyclables. PM if you are available between now and Sunday.

Teachers’ Corner Shop is open today 3:30-5:00 ish. Stop on by and get your future supplies! We have a good supply of lined paper, small three ring binders, dividers, folders, hanging file folders, and other supplies. Several nice games and puzzles.

Oh! And don’t forget our clean recyclables as well! Milk jugs, clear bottles, Toilet paper tubes, other compostables, etc, all can serve a multi-purposeful, extended life in your garden!

I’ll be here at the shop until 5:30 today!! Later if anyone shows up.

Teachers’ Corner is closing end of March

Hello Friends,
With a heavy heart, after a year of hard work with many of you volunteering alongside me, Teachers’ Corner is closing at the end of March. Our landlord, the very gracious Runcible Games, is not renewing its lease at 609 N Rolla Street and is moving to Pine Street with Coffeesmiths.

Why close? Teachers’ Corner’s existing business model, the lack of an organization of people dedicated to operating it, a severe lack of funding and regular volunteers, and an affordable location to move to, are all key success factors that didn't materialize over the past year. It is simply unsustainable. So, the best option is to close Teachers Corner as it exists today. It's the right thing to do.

Come on by for our Close Out SALE - TEN items for the price of one!! Ha!

We are NOT accepting item donations as of today. Please come and take what you want. Cash donations are still very much appreciated to cover necessary outstanding expenses. An OPEN sign will be posted on the Rolla Street entrance when the shop is open. It is expected to be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3-6pm. Otherwise, help yourselves whenever Runcible is open, tag or take items and please “checkout” and let us know what you take. Cash donations can be left in the Morris the Moose cookie jar if no one is there to greet you. It is checked daily.

The Shop will be open today from 3:30-5:00! Come see the new furniture, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter themed supplies. And let us know what you think about the new maker-space area. Come create with us!

It’s been a busy few days at the Shop! Our friends at A-1 Moving transported our new-to-us shelving fixtures from our dear friends at Rolla Books and Toys and hauled away the old ones and delivered them to Salvation Army! Now it’s time to organize and thin the inventory to go back on the shelves.

DONT miss out on the fun! We’ll be at it again tomorrow afternoon!
