Rolesville Elementary School PTA

🚨 RAMILIES... WE NEED YOU! 🚨

We know it's hot. We know it's humid. We know it's a weekday afternoon. We know your couch misses you.

But we could REALLY use some helping hands this Wednesday and Thursday at 4:15 PM.

The PTA is installing paver pads under two picnic tables so our students and staff can enjoy them for years to come. The materials are here. The plan is ready. The problem? We need humans. Preferably the kind with arms. 💪😅

🪏 Wednesday, May 27 @ 4:00–5:30 PM
Help remove grass and dirt to prepare the area. Bring a flat shovel if you have one!

🧱 Thursday, May 28 @ 4:00 PM until finished
Help spread gravel, level the area, and lay pavers. Even 30 minutes makes a difference.

And when we say we need help... we REALLY mean it. Right now we're looking at a very small crew trying to move a very large amount of dirt, gravel, and pavers. The math isn't mathing. 😂

No special skills required. No experience necessary. Just willing hands and a little sweat equity for our school.

Hardworking teens are welcome, too (great volunteer hours opportunity!).

🧱 FIRST: Paver Unloading Help
If anyone can meet us in the back carpool area at 4:15 PM TODAY (Wednesday, May 20) for about 15 minutes to help unload pavers, we would be incredibly grateful. It took 3 adults over an hour to load them… and let’s just say their backs have submitted formal complaints. 😂

🛠 Wednesday, May 27 — Excavation Day
We need adults and/or hardworking teens (great volunteer hours opportunity!) to help remove about 3–4 inches of grass/dirt so we can prep the area for gravel, sand, and pavers.
⏰ 4:00–5:30 PM
🪏 If you have a flat shovel, please bring it!

🧱 Thursday, May 28 — Paver Installation
We’ll be spreading gravel, leveling the area, and laying pavers for the FIRST 12x9 section.
⏰ Starting at 4:00 PM
⏳ This will likely take a couple of hours, but truly ANY amount of help matters. If you can only stay 30–45 minutes, we’d still love to have you!

We’ll meet out front of the school around 4 PM each day. Since this work is outside after school hours, there’s no need to sign in at the office.

Many hands make light work, and we’d really appreciate any help in getting this project completed for our students and staff to enjoy. ❤️

🚨 FINAL PTA MEETING OF THE YEAR 🚨
Monday 5/18 @ 6:30 PM

This is it, folks. The season finale. The last PTA meeting before summer officially turns our brains into popsicles. ☀️🍦

We’ll be electing officers for 2026-27, celebrating everything we accomplished together, and possibly convincing a few brave souls to “just help a little” … which is exactly how half of us ended up here in the first place. 😅

Truly though... PTA isn’t just meetings and signups. It’s the people behind the fun stuff your kids love, the support for our staff, and the tiny bit of organized chaos that somehow keeps everything moving.

Come hang out, vote, ask questions, meet other parents, and see what’s ahead for next year. Whether you’re PTA-curious, a longtime volunteer, or just coming for the entertainment value of officer elections, we’d love to see you there.

Wow, light week for Lost and Found! Here are the latest few items. The racks are by the bus entrance near the gym. Come take a look!

Our last Walking Club will be Friday, May 15. We will start earlier at 8:05 AM. Then at 8:35 AM, we will have a quick get together to recognize those kids who have achieved 100 laps and get a group photo! We hope you can join us to end another great year at Walking Club!

Our staff at Rolesville Elementary is SUPER HEROIC! 💥🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Today we wrapped up our Staff Appreciation Week celebrating the incredible heroes who make our school so special every single day! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️💙

The PTA treated our staff to a catered lunch from Alpaca, and parent Bonnie Barnett generously donated delicious Nothing Bundt Cakes on behalf of her company, Reflections Counseling NC, for a sweet ending to the week!

Our own PTA volunteers even wore their flashy superhero aprons while serving lunch to show our staff just how much they are appreciated and supported by our school community.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, contributed, and helped make this week so memorable. We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our SUPER HEROIC staff! 🍽️🧁✨

🦸‍♀️🌱 Our staff at Rolesville Elementary is SUPER HEROIC! 🌱🦸‍♂️

Today’s Staff Appreciation celebration gave our superheroes a chance to bring a little greenery into their environments with a “Pick Your Own Succulent Bar!” Staff members got to choose from a variety of beautiful succulents from Homewood Nursery and custom pots to create their own perfect plant arrangement. 💚

We also encouraged students to surprise their teachers with their favorite flowers today, and the love shown was absolutely blooming all over campus! 🌸🌼 Just look at the beautiful bouquet Mrs. Old received from her students — what a sweet reminder of how appreciated our teachers truly are!

Tomorrow is Fantastic Creation Friday! Time to get creative—have your child make something special for a teacher and/or favorite staff member. A handmade gift is the perfect way to wrap up our SUPER week of appreciation!
