I’ve been reflecting a lot on my trip to Georgia Military College and GMC Prep.

One thing stood out to me: this generation is searching for authenticity and connection.

They feel real pressure to succeed. Pressure to perform. Pressure to have the answers. Pressure to become something.

Our job is not to steer them toward our goals and dreams.

It is to help them discover theirs.

Give them direction. Challenge them. Hold them accountable. But also give them the space to figure out who they are, what they stand for, and what kind of life they want to build.

And to the young men and women figuring it out:

Choose your circle wisely.

The people you surround yourself with will influence how you think, what you believe is possible, and ultimately who you become.

Find people who challenge you. People who tell you the truth. People who celebrate your wins and refuse to let you settle.

And never confuse where you are today with where you are capable of going.

Your circumstances may shape part of your story, but they do not get to write the ending.

The future is bright.

I’m honored to be speaking at Georgia Military College Prep School on August 26th, and I couldn’t be more excited.

I’ll be sharing my journey from growing up in poverty and experiencing homelessness to flying Apache helicopters, serving in Special Operations, and leading some of our nation’s most extraordinary men and women. Every challenge taught me a lesson about resilience, leadership, and the power of choosing growth over comfort.

Those experiences became the foundation of Perpetual Grit.

Perpetual Grit is the relentless pursuit of growth through discipline, adversity, and purposeful action. It’s about developing the character to do hard things, the courage to lead when it’s uncomfortable, and the resilience to keep moving forward when life tests you. Champions aren’t born. They’re built one decision, one challenge, and one setback at a time.

I’m looking forward to challenging the students at Georgia Military College Prep School to embrace adversity, pursue excellence, and recognize that leadership isn’t about a title. It’s about the example you set every single day.

The future is bright, and I can’t wait to invest in these young leaders.

What a day!

We’re still sorting through all the photos and videos from our first Perpetual Grit Monster Mash, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek.

First, a huge shoutout to my wife, Kacy. She was an absolute rockstar—chasing two toddlers while somehow capturing the sweat, smiles, grit, and teamwork that made this event so special.

The best part wasn’t the workout.

It was watching families tackle challenges together. Watching parents encourage their kids. Watching teammates solve problems while completely out of breath. Watching people push beyond what they thought they were capable of and grow together.

That’s what Perpetual Grit is all about.

This wasn’t just fitness. It was building stronger people, stronger families, and stronger communities.

We’ve got a lot more content coming once we finish going through everything, but I can already say one thing…

We can’t wait to do another Monster Mash.

Can focus be trained?

The research suggests it can.

A systematic review and meta analysis of 18 randomized controlled trials involving 830 children with ADHD found that structured physical activity improved attention, emotional regulation, anxiety, and depression.

As parents, we spend a lot of time asking our kids to focus.

Maybe we should spend more time giving them opportunities to practice focus.

We can’t remove every obstacle our children will face.

But we can prepare them to overcome them.

Air Rhino Inferno.

Legs. Lungs. Grit.

5 Rounds
• 10 Rogue Air Rhino Belt Squats
• 10 Air Bike Calories
• 10 Air Rhino Split Squats (each leg)
• 10 Air Bike Calories

Rest 1 minute between rounds.

This one looks simple on paper. It isn’t.

The Air Rhino taxes your legs. The Air Bike taxes your soul. By Round 3 you’ll be questioning your life choices, and by Round 5 you’ll know exactly what you’re made of.

Anything under 30:00 is getting after it.
