I’ve been reflecting a lot on my trip to Georgia Military College and GMC Prep.
One thing stood out to me: this generation is searching for authenticity and connection.
They feel real pressure to succeed. Pressure to perform. Pressure to have the answers. Pressure to become something.
Our job is not to steer them toward our goals and dreams.
It is to help them discover theirs.
Give them direction. Challenge them. Hold them accountable. But also give them the space to figure out who they are, what they stand for, and what kind of life they want to build.
And to the young men and women figuring it out:
Choose your circle wisely.
The people you surround yourself with will influence how you think, what you believe is possible, and ultimately who you become.
Find people who challenge you. People who tell you the truth. People who celebrate your wins and refuse to let you settle.
And never confuse where you are today with where you are capable of going.
Your circumstances may shape part of your story, but they do not get to write the ending.
The future is bright.
Built Not Given.
