MISSING ONE DAY ISN’T THE PROBLEM.
Missing two, three, four… and slowly convincing yourself you’ll “get back to it next week” — THAT’S where things start to change.
One of my favorite lessons from Atomic Habits is simple:
Never miss twice.
Because one missed workout doesn’t erase your progress. One bad day doesn’t mean you failed. One crazy week doesn’t mean you’re back at square one.
Life happens.
But the longer you stay away from the thing you were trying to build, the harder it becomes to get yourself moving again.
And I think THAT is the part people don’t talk about enough.
Getting started is hard. Staying consistent is hard. And getting started AGAIN after you’ve fallen off can be even harder.
Everybody struggles with this.
Coaches struggle with it. Athletes struggle with it. People who have been working out for 20 years struggle with it.
You are not the only person who has ever looked at a workout and thought, “Man… I do NOT feel like doing this today.” 😂
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is to catch yourself before one missed day turns into a new habit.
Miss Monday?
Cool.
SHOW UP TUESDAY.
Just get yourself back through that door.
Sometimes the biggest win isn’t crushing the workout.
It’s simply showing up again.
DECIDE TO RISE. 🦅
