We’re saddened to share that Bill Baxter, Class of ’86, has passed away.
Bill was one of those unforgettable Rancho Cotate personalities — known by many, loved by all. He played both baseball and football, but even more than that, he was the guy everyone remembers as happy, witty, and always smiling.
Bill showed up for this community. He was front and center at so many RC events and games, cheering people on long after graduation.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18th.
We’d love for RCHS alumni to help honor Bill.
If you played on a team with him, shared classes, hung out with Bill, or just remember his energy , please share your stories maybe a photo abd/or a memory below. YOUR comments will help his fam & those close to Bill see IRL how well loved he was💕

1981 in Rohnert Park. RP was growing fast (pop 30,000 vs today 45,000) Ronald Regan became president. Prince Charles Diana married. ON TV in Rohnert Park in 1981-MTV signed on. THE TOP RATED TV shows-DALLAS (Who shot JR) and DUKES OF HAZZARD. GAS at Rotten Robbies was $1.31.
HOUSES-Avg price for 3 BR in R.P. was $84,000.
RENT=Avg rent for 3 bedroom house in RP=$508.
MOVIES= Theaters were PACKED in 81' for Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
And THIS girl pictured in RP in 1981 wearing a "TROUBLE" T-shirt. IS A GRANDMOTHER==😶and COULD be a GREAT GRANDMA!😮
