🌱 Garden check in!

Our garden is doing its thing! We’ve got strawberries, peppers, an eggplant, lots of cut flowers, and a whole bunch of green tomatoes just waiting to ripen.

It also looks like the birds found the pinecone feeders the kids made last week.

But the most exciting part?! The popcorn has tassels and little ears are starting to form! I’ve been watching these grow all season, so seeing those ears finally show up is pretty darn exciting. I think we might actually get make popcorn! 🍿

🤕 We wanted to take a moment to thank Coach Kyle for coming to teach our kids about first aid during Nature Week last week!

The kids had the opportunity to practice hands-on techniques using real supplies, helping them become familiar with what to do in different situations. It was such a fun and engaging way to learn an important life skill.

By far, the most entertaining first aid lesson I’ve ever seen! Thank you so much, Coach Kyle, for sharing your knowledge and time. We truly appreciate you! 🩹

Preschool is just around the corner at Rogue Schoolhouse!

Our 2026–2027 preschool year runs September 8 – June 4, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM.

We keep preschool fun and hands-on giving kids plenty of opportunities to explore, create, ask questions, and learn through play and everyday experiences.

Need extra care?

Before and after care is available through our year round daycare, open Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

This year's garden is teaching us patience!

So far, we've picked just a few strawberries, some mystery peppers, and our very first zucchini. The kids gave the pepper a taste, and we're pretty sure it's a pepperoncini! Yesterday, we had zucchini muffins for breakfast.

Our beans did so well last year, so I recently planted another variety that's supposed to be ready in about 45 days. Since then, it finally looks like everything is starting to take off, and we can't wait to see what grows next!

This year we're trying a few new things, including eggplant, popcorn, and loofah.
