It's almost time Scouts...are you ready to DO YOUR BEST?

Open Houses are RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!! With school starting on Sept. 1, we're getting ready to roll soon. Many open houses for Elementary students are on August 26, as are the high school dates. Middle schoolers - be ready for some earlier dates for WEB, etc. But you can find ALL the info here!!

So…what do Cub Scouts actually DO?

A better question might be: What don’t they do?

Over the course of a year, Scouts might:
🏕️ Camp under the stars
🚀 Launch rockets
🎣 Go fishing
🚲 Ride bikes
🌲 Explore nature
🏎️ Build and race Pinewood Derby cars
🤝 Help their community
🔥 Gather around a campfire
🏹 Try archery
🛠️ Build things with their own hands

And somewhere along the way, they learn teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving and confidence without it feeling like another class.

That’s fun with a purpose.

Kids build confidence by doing things they didn’t know they could do.
- Sometimes that means climbing a little higher.
- Sometimes it’s speaking in front of the group.
- Sometimes it’s learning to use a tool, setting up a tent, helping someone else or trying something even when they’re not sure they’ll be good at it.

Cub Scouts gives kids lots of small opportunities to say: “I did it.”

Those little moments add up.

But Cub Scouts is about more than the activities.

It’s a place where kids get to try something new, figure things out, build confidence and discover what they’re capable of—with encouraging adults and their family alongside them.

Pack 582 is getting ready for another year of adventure, and new families are welcome.

It’s gonna be a hot one, we are drinking water and the staff at Kiwanis Scout Camp had made sure they have extra out for all the campers today.

Rogers MN Cub Scout Pack 582 is up and at it. Been through Skills this morning where the Webelos learned about the fire triangle and fire making, the Bears worked in their whittling chips and the Lions were practicing set up tents!!

Wow, what a day! BB guns, archery, bouncy pillow, more pool time a a great dinner by the Kiwanis Scout Camp staff!

At campfire now with skits by the Dens and by the staff. Great end to a super fun day!

Afternoon from Kiwanis Scout Camp and Rogers MN Cub Scout Pack 582! We’ve been busy! Shooting sports, pool time (sorry, no pictures), and now STEM rotations!
