Earlier this month, the Jones Center officially announced the name GoodWorks for Northwest Arkansas' Regional Volunteer Center.

When unveiling the name and logo, they expressed their goal of being the link between volunteers and nonprofits in the NW Arkansas area.

Saturday, September 12th, 2026, we get the chance to make it happen!

We encourage you to partner with organizations across Northwest Arkansas for you to get involved on this Day of Service.

Options span just a couple of hours at various locations across the region. A quick chance to make a big impact! So, check out the list below, pick the one that fits you best, and let's do some GoodWorks!

If you're looking for an opportunity to start your service learning project, the Jones Center created a DAY OF SERVICE on Saturday, Sept. 12th with various non-profits from across NW Arkansas.

We’re excited to officially announce our Fall 2026 Rogers Honors Academy🎓✈️🚌

We asked our juniors & seniors where they wanted to explore.

They told us they wanted to experience highly selective universities in Boston & major Division I campuses across the South. Our response?

Why choose? Let’s do BOTH. 🙌

This fall, RHA students will have the opportunity to explore two incredible regions & 13 colleges/universities, from Harvard University & Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to Vanderbilt University, Auburn University, The University of Alabama, The University of Mississippi - Ole Miss, Emory University, Georgia Tech, AND MORE.

Because finding the right college isn’t about finding the most prestigious name.

It’s about finding the place where you can see yourself belonging, growing, & thriving.

Big or small.
Urban or rural.
Public or private.
Close to home or a plane ride away.

Rogers Honors Academy gives students the opportunity to experience what’s possible & discover the place that feels right for them.

And thanks to the support of the Rogers Public Schools Board of Education, Walton Family Foundation (WFF), & Rogers Public Education Foundation (RPEF), these experiences are provided to our students at no cost. ❤️

Applications are now open for the 2026–27 Mayor’s Youth Academy!

The Mayor’s Youth Academy is open to high school juniors and seniors who live in Rogers or attend school in Rogers. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about local government and get involved with their community.

Applications are open through September 11, 2026.

From Oakdale student to Oakdale teacher…..welcome home, Ms. Barzcewski!

I graduated from the University of Kansas in May with my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education! Rock Chalk!

I am beyond excited to begin my first year of teaching, and even more excited that I'll be doing it at Oakdale, my alma mater! It means so much to have the opportunity to give back to the community that poured so much into me as a student. I can't wait to learn, grow, and make a positive impact on the next generation. Here's to an amazing first year!
