We are excited to introduce Abigail Brashear as our 6th grade ELA teacher for the 26-27 school year!

“Stepping in as the new 6th Grade Reading Teacher next year, I can’t wait to see what this district and campus will have in store for me. Early release on Thursday has been moved up to 12:00 to accommodate for fans traveling to baseball.

8th Grade Ceremony is 10:00 am Thursday.

***RMS follows the final exam schedule set by the HS. 6th and 7th graders do not take final exams. Some of our 8th graders taking HS credit courses will take final exams.

It was a great week at RMS celebrating our students and making memories. It started off with the 6th grade class field trip to Waco.

Then we had our perfect attendance challenge celebration. We had over 100 students that had perfect attendance for the month of April! We celebrated by a full afternoon of dodgeball. The Purple Cobras won the tournament!

We ended the week with our 6th & 7th grade award ceremony. It was great to recognize the hard work our students and teachers have put in this year!

We are excited to welcome Sarah Kelly to the RMS team for the 26-27 school year!

“I’m excited to join the 6th grade team as a math teacher this year! This will be my 15th year teaching, and my 5th year in Rogers. I love being a part of the Rogers community and am excited to see students I taught as 3rd graders. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed through hard work and clear expectations. “

The MS band was able to perform last week at the Pride of Texas Band Festival. They did a fantastic job! A big portion of our 6th grade band was able to take a reward trip this week and perform at UMHB. The judges there had great things to say! Proud of our students for their hard work and our directors providing these neat performance opportunities.

This week our RMS GT and NJHS newcomers took field trips to celebrate their hard work this year! Great group of kids! Thank you sponsors for making these trips happen!

This weeks RWYC Athlete of the Week is Zoey Rios! Zoey is 12 years old and attends Rogers Middle School. Zoey’s favorite food is chicken alfredo and her favorite athlete is Caitlyn Clark. This is Zoey's fifth year participating in athletics at RWYC. Congratulations Zoey!🏐

If you were not at the band concert last night, you missed out. All of the different sections did fantastic! The hard work our students and directors put it in has paid off! Congratulations to all of the students who received awards!
