Rogers Animal Services "Like" this page if you are interested in adopting a shelter animal in NWA, donating a few hours at the shelter or helping us spread the word!

Since 2010, Rogers Animal Services has had a major impact on the stray animal population by returning them to their homes, finding them new homes, or getting them into rescue organizations. In 2016, our live release rate for the year was 100% of the animals that came through Rogers Animal Shelter! We are working hard to maintain that level of success and improve the lives of our four legged friends in 2017. The shelters are always in need of donations, such as money, food, or your time as a volunteer. Volunteer opportunities range from drop-in dog walking, off-site adoption events, training classes and fundraising. Please contact [email protected] or check for wall updates for info on events and orientation hours. Welcome to an Official page of the City of Rogers, Arkansas. I would like to set the record straight about what happened on South "O" and Eastview in Rogers.

I was NOT lost. I was NOT "sniffing around." I was in active pursuit of a HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS squirrel.

This squirrel looked at me funny. I looked at him funny. He ran. I ran. It's called police work and I was basically doing YOUR job for you, Rogers.

Exhibit A: That's me tracking the suspect. Tongue out for maximum scent detection. Locked in.

Exhibit B: That's me watching where he WENT. He went THAT WAY. Into that field. I almost had him. I was THIS close to cracking the case wide open.

Then Animal Control pulled up.

And honestly? Thank goodness she did. Because that squirrel was leading me straight into traffic and I am, as you can see, not built for long-distance running. I am built for couch.

The Animal Services Officer was the NICEST lady ever. She didn't arrest me, she rescued me from my own terrible decisions. Gave me water, gave me a leash upgrade, took my good side for my mugshot.

Exhibit C: That's me realizing I got busted and also rescued at the same time. Mixed emotions. Still handsome.

So if you know my humans, tell them their detective is safe at Rogers Animal Services. Tan Frenchie, one blue eye, tongue permanently stuck on out, collar but no tags because my ID was in my other pants.

Tell them the squirrel got away. But I will get him next time.

Huge thank you to the Rogers Animal Services Officer.

We have some incredibly meaningful news to share. ❤️

We are honored to receive this plaque from Best Friends Animal Society recognizing Rogers Animal Services as a No-Kill Shelter — for achieving a save rate of 90% or more for cats and dogs from June 2025 to May 2026.

This award belongs to more than just our shelter. It belongs to our entire community.

To our staff who show up every day with compassion, even on the hardest days — thank you.

To our volunteers who walk, clean, comfort, and love these animals like their own — thank you.

To our rescue transfer partners, our veterinary partners, and the City of Rogers — thank you.

And to every family who adopted, shared a post, donated, or chose to give a shelter pet a second chance — you made this possible.

No-kill is not a destination. It is a commitment we make every single day — that every healthy and treatable animal who comes through our doors will have the chance they deserve.

We are so proud of how far we’ve come, and we are more committed than ever to the work ahead.

If you’d like to be part of this lifesaving work, we would love to have you — consider adopting or volunteering.

With gratitude,

— The Team at Rogers Animal Services 🐾

Has anyone seen my humans?

So last night I was exploring on the corner of 4th and Persimmon in Rogers... and I got... uh... a little lost.

Luckily, a super nice lady found me. Not only did she rescue me, she ALSO happens to be a groomer. Jackpot.

Today, I was at her shop getting the full spa treatment. Bath. Haircut. Orange bandana. The works. I went from "shaggy little dog" to "handsome gentleman who looks permanently surprised" in like an hour. You're welcome for these eyes, by the way. I can't help it. I'm still processing my glow-up.

Then this very nice Animal Control officer from the City of Rogers came and gave me a lift. He’s very strong, very professional, and excellent at holding nervous little dudes like me.

So now I’m hanging out at Rogers Animal Services, looking fresh, smelling amazing, and waiting for my family to come get me.

If you know me, or you know my people, please tell them their freshly groomed, slightly bug-eyed, extremely good boy is waiting at the shelter!

Please share so I can get home!

🐾 HOWL-DY, ROGERS! 🐾

It's me! The fluffy post rain super sniff investigator you may have seen doing extremely important sniff work at the corner of North 13th & Persimmon streets in Rogers today.

My adventure was briefly interrupted when a very nice Animal Control officer pulled up and offered me a ride. I accepted. She had excellent air conditioning and told me I was a good boy. 10/10 would Uber with her again.

So now I'm on a little vacay at the shelter, practicing my two signature looks:

Photo 1: The "HI, I you got any treats??" smile

Photo 2: The "WAIT, I heard cheese" - 100% focused, 0% looking at the camera

I'm super friendly, wiggly, a little goofy, and I definitely belong to somebody - my fur is way too soft to be a full-time street dog.

If you know my family, or if you ARE my family, please contact Rogers Animal Services and tell them the Aussie mix from N 13th & Persimmon wants to go home!

Please share to help me get home! 🙏

HI FRANDS!!! 🐾

Sooo... I might have taken myself on a little unsupervised adventure on Sweetwater Drive in Rogers today. Don't worry, I knew exactly what I was doing. (I did not know what I was doing.)

Luckily, I found THE nicest lady's house and decided to invite myself over. She was like, an angel! She gave me water! I drank it like I'd been hiking the Sahara for 40 days. 10/10 hospitality, would crash again.

Then another VERY nice lady from Rogers Animal Services came to get me. She had the cool purple leash and everything and told me what a pretty girl I am. Which, I mean... look at these eyes. I KNOW.

So now I'm hanging out at the Rogers Animal Shelter, being beautiful and waiting for my humans to come find me.

If you know my people, please tell them their fluffy, blue-eyed, water-loving daughter is here and she is READY to go home. I promise I won't go on another adventure today... probably.

Kisses and tail wags,
The Sweetwater Sweetie 💙
