It’s been almost a year since I posted last. This last year I split my full time job into 2 part time jobs. You can imagine maybe how that went? One of the part time jobs was really full time…soooo, all that to say there hasn’t been time to focus on this whole coaching thing. Well, not in the Wendy Franco coaching sense of the word. I coached many people in my job and life!!! The picture you see is of me and one of my newest best friends and someone I get to work with all the time! If everyone had a in their lives they would feel good all the time! It’s the best!

I will be doing the same roles this year! So I probably won’t be super active but I am open to coaching a little on the side or doing premarital coaching, which is one of my favorites! So, if you or someone you know wants to chat about it, lemme know!

Ahhhh, getting down to the truth of who we are is exciting and scary! I think most of us want to be really known and loved. In order for that to happen, truly, we must know how we are wired and what made us that way. The enneagram has explained or illuminated much of that for me.
It can be seen as a fad and a fun thing to talk about with friends but it has been around in some form for a very long time.
Knowing what it is truly about and how it can awaken you to patterns you have in your life can change everything. It changes the way you see yourself. It changes the way you see others.
What if there was a way you could understand your friends, coworkers and spouse better?!! You got it...there is!!!

Week 4, y’all! How do you feel loved, how does your partner feel loved and how are those different or the same?!!! This is essential to loving your partner over the long haul...feelings of “love” tend to dissipate over time, sometimes shortly after the honeymoon. In those times we must practice choosing to love and showing love. If you do not understand what your partner needs then you cannot show them in their own language how you love them. Essential!!!!

Bids...how you ask your partner to tell you they want to be with you. I explain this in a video on my stories. This was one thing I had to learn and still need to practice. The language of the bid is a game changer!

Week 3 we talk through a million of our marital expectations!! What kind of money you want to spend on a couch, what you want to do for holidays, how much time to spend with friends after your married, parenting and much much more!

One thing I have found is that many people do not know how to communicate how they feel in a positive way. Many of us never got the chance to talk about feelings and have them affirmed. So, we talk through how to practice talking about feelings, how to asses a situation that is happening right now and have a constructive conversation about it! (Still working in this myself).

Couples are given a survey to fill out separately and then asked to talk about those things! This is a huge gift for any couple. It forces conversations you don’t want to have or you just assume you know the answer to.

Our time in week two is spent mainly on the Enneagram. I have each person take their test and bring it with them to the session. I ask them in our time apart to investigate their own number style. I give them lots of places to go read up on it, take notes on themselves and have a conversation about each other.

I believe this to be one of the pivotal conversation in getting to know where your future spouse is coming from. Who they actually are, not who you perceive them to be. It gives language to what you may be experiencing. It impacts how you fight, how you love, how you parent...literally everything!!! This is an amazing session.

We also spend time practicing how different their communication styles are of each person by doing several exercises.

I love this session. I love when people come to knew realizations about themselves for sure but to see a couple understand each other even better, know each other deeper and relate to each other in new ways is so freaking fun!!

Many times I know one of the people I am coaching better than the other so I want to spend the first one getting to know the couple.

Top 4 things I suggest for this time of being engaged and our time together..

*Decide who you are going to take advice from
(who do you trust- marriage and faith wise).

*Spend time with the Lord (together and alone).

*Find 4 people to pray for you.

*Be honest, be vulnerable and be teachable.
