💡Faculty Spotlight: Theology teacher Mrs. Madison Musso and her husband traveled to Rome for a very special experience: meeting Pope Leo and receiving his blessing for their marriage. Known as Sposi Novelli, this tradition takes place almost every Wednesday when the Pope is in Rome. During his General Audience, he shares a Scripture reading and reflection before greeting special guests — including newly married couples, who are encouraged to wear their wedding attire! What a beautiful and unforgettable way to begin their marriage! 💙

As our first full week of school to a close, we celebrated our Opening School Mass of the Holy Spirit. In her Call to Worship, Chloe Sweeney ’27 reminded us that in the face of adversities and struggles, reminding ourselves that we are loved beyond measure is a helpful way to ground ourselves in the Holy Spirit’s presence as we begin this year.

With only their creativity and innovation, students taking Engineering Product Design dove into the challenge of launching a ping-pong ball using only basic art supplies. After multiple design attempts, they successfully tested their assembled prototype launchers to propel ping-pong balls over 30 ft!

Seniors Sabrina and Avery created this mural titled “Room to Bloom” and shared this in their artists’ statement: “This mural was designed to be a peaceful, visual respite for anyone stepping into Magnificat's Counseling Office, transforming the space into a welcoming haven with its fluffy clouds and gentle blue sky. Beneath, a field blooms with the favorite flowers of the Counseling team, a tribute to the care and support they offer our school community. Like Magnificat, Lourdes Academy was founded by the Sisters of the Humility of Mary. Each year Lourdes alumnae gather on our campus for their All-Class Reunion to reconnect and celebrate their school pride, including singing their pep song!
