So much has changed already in 2024.

A year of tremendous loss and heartbreak, but also opportunity.

I've been choosing a word of the year for several years, and each year it surprises me where it takes me. This year was growth. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would be forced to grow way beyond what I thought possible, when I absolutely wasn't ready.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so I know I have to keep taking baby steps forward on my dream of having small group classes.

Talk about camouflage.. if it had decided to be on a leaf. The electric wire on the side of my house.. Not so much!

Are you looking for a fun way for your kids to learn Spanish this fall, while also learning about and connecting with the natural world through stories, crafts and free play?
Classes are held outdoors at my home, with a treehouse, creek and chickens offering endless opportunities for discovery.

Ages 6-10ish- flexible age range

*100% outdoor classes
*small group size (max 6)
*family friendly environment

I've been a little quiet over here as I've been soaking up the summer, and working on some things behind the scenes.

Last week at forest school, my boy found this beautiful chicken of the woods.. he asked what it was, and we researched to find out.

Fast forward a few days, and he decided to make one out of clay. He was so excited to share.

Just in case you don't think you are doing enough, or teaching your kids, trust that they are always learning ❤️

Celebrating summer 🌞

Usually, I try to spend as much time in nature as possible.

It brings peace, renews my spirit.

However, when it's 98 degrees out, I just can't.

Instead of being upset, I chose to celebrate.

We spent some time at the pool.

I swam 400yds during adult swim! That's more than I've done since my youngest was born 🤣

It wasn't fast, it wasn't pretty, but it happened.

Nature adventures don't have to be big.

They don't have to take a lot of planning.

Here's a little cicada that I found within seconds of walking outside.

It was the perfect reminder to slow down, and keep your eyes open.
Simple joys are all around. ❤️
