Nash Community College Law Enforcement Training

Nash Community College Law Enforcement Training NCC Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) and Mandated & Non-Mandated Law Enforcement Training You may pre-register by utilizing our online registration form.

BLET is designed to give students the essential skills required for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers with state, county, or municipal governments. This program utilizes state- commission- mandated topics and methods of instruction. General subjects include, but are not limited to: criminal, juvenile, civil, traffic, and alcoholic beverage laws; investigative, patrol, custody, and

court procedures: emergency response and ethics and community relations. Successful graduates receive a certificate and are qualified to take certification examinations mandated by the North Carolina criminal justice education and training standards commission. In-service Law Enforcement Training

Nash Community College offers a variety of in-service law enforcement training classes. These courses provide the essential skills, knowledge, and resources necessary for law enforcement officers to stay abreast of the changes that are occurring in this field. General topics include, but are not limited to: radar certification, drug interdiction for the patrol officer, bike school, in- service firearms training, defensive driving, k-9 training and subject control techniques/defensive tactics training.

Our SkillsUSA chapter has been named a 2026 Model of Excellence in Technical Skills...one of the highest honors awarded by SkillsUSA SkillsUSA North Carolina North Carolina Community Colleges recognition earned by only 8 schools in the nation.
