Wrapped Since 2024.

This Starfish Cactus kokedama has been with her owner for over two years now. In the beginning, there were a few growing pains and a little learning curve as they got to know one another.

But look at her now.

Still wrapped. Still growing. And now — flowering. 🌸

This is one of our favorite things about our kokedama: they aren’t just arrangements. They become part of the home, part of the rhythm, part of the story.

A little patience, the right care, and time can do a lot.

Share your arrangements with us. We love seeing our plant babies thriving. 💚

We’re so sorry for the delay in returning your dropped-off arrangements. Our moss order was delayed, and we also had a few sick little ones this week.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. All dropped-off kokedama arrangements will be returned before next weekend’s stand.

Thank you all for your grace and support. 💚

Herbal healing to the rescue! 🌿🫖💜

With the littles feeling a little congested from these sudden weather changes, we closed the stand, slowed things down, and reached for some of our favorite herbs and because learning happens everywhere around here, we even got a little color-changing science experiment out of our tea! 💜✨

Goldenrod is starting to bloom all over the farm. 🌼🌿
Native plants like goldenrod are an important part of our farm ecosystem providing late-season nectar and pollen for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects, while offering food and habitat for wildlife. As the season begins to shift, we’ll be harvesting some fresh and drying some. We use Goldenrod for herbal preparations supporting respiratory wellness, skin and wound care, inflammation and achy joints, kidney and bladder wellness, and more.

The fall syrups are ready. 🍂🌿

This weekend we have our Fig Syrup, Pumpkin Syrup and Sweet Potato Syrup on the stand — perfect for adding a little fall goodness to tea, coffee, milk, pancakes, biscuits, desserts, and more. 🤎

Same good roots. A little sweeter for fall. 🍁

Got tired of buying the same raggedy broom from the store, so I went out into the field and made my own. 😂🌾

I had work to get done, so she definitely wasn’t made for looks—but let me tell you… she worked like a DREAM! 😂🙌🏾

A little Friday pause, but a full weekend ahead. 🍂🌿

Our farm stand will be closed this Friday while we finish rewrap orders, prepare packages for shipping, and get everything ready for the weekend.

But come Saturday + Sunday, the stand will be fully stocked with fall goodness — seasonal teas, new products, pumpkins, fresh plant offerings, and kokedama arrangements.

We’re filling the stand back up and bringing a little more autumn with us each week. 🍁

Come see what’s growing, brewing, and waiting for you at Grounded Roots Farms.

A lot of people are afraid of the poke plant, and that caution is understandable. From the roots to the greens to the seeds, poke is a powerful plant that demands knowledge, respect, and careful handling. But that’s also why learning the plants growing around us matters so much.

Knowledge is power. 🌱 The Earth holds an incredible abundance of plants with long histories of traditional use—we just have to learn what we’re looking at, honor the wisdom surrounding them, and understand how to work with them safely.

Poke continues to be one of my favorite plants to study and work with.
