Thank you to everyone who has donated to our "Sousa-pport the Band" fundraiser! We are grateful for each of you and your dedication and support. For full transparency, we are providing you with some important updates.

We have raised almost $5000 of our $8000 goal! You all stepped up for us in a big way yet again, and we are never not awed at your generosity.

We have received a couple of quotes for new and used sousaphones from local companies. We have raised just about what we would need to raise to purchase one refurbished sousaphone. Keeping in mind that we need to purchase three, you will notice a unit price and a line total on one of the quotes, which reflects that.

We are potentially in the running for some grant money that would help us with this purchase. We do not know how much or when this money could potentially be dispersed. Please know that any money we receive either through this grant or this fundraiser that is in excess of the purchase price of sousaphones will go towards the purchase of other instruments, equipment, and supplies for the band program.

The marching band community is unlike any other community in the world. Things are getting pretty serious around the RHS band room - the sousaphones are trying to retire themselves!

In all seriousness, the marching band is in dire need of new sousaphones. We've been holding them together with tape and sheer will-power, but limping them through another marching season seems unlikely. As you can probably imagine, new sousaphones are very expensive (anywhere from $4000 to $10,000). Our goal is to purchase two before next season.

Your support will not just replace instruments—it will uplift young musicians, strengthen our program, and ensure the music continues for years to come. Thank you for your help keeping the music alive!

Did you know that Kroger Community Rewards are a simple way to support your favorite organization - the Rockwood High School Band?! All it takes is a few quick steps to link your Kroger card to the program. This can be done online or through the Kroger app. Simply access the Rewards menu, choose Community Rewards, search for the Rockwood High School Band Boosters, and click Enroll. Every time you use your Kroger card at any Kroger, a portion of your purchase is donated to the band. Thank you for your continued support!
