We had a great day today at our hit-a-thon!! Thank you to everyone who came out to watch and participate! It was a lot of fun to have staff from the school come shoot against our team and then to have the dads give it a try. Special thank you to Iowa Central Shooting Sports for allowing us to use their range!!

That's a wrap on the 2024 shooting season. State shoot this morning in Cedar Falls went pretty good, we had a beautiful day to shoot and lots of great support from the families. Lots of great competition at this event and lots of shooters.
We had shooters in 3 different divisions,
Senior, JV division- Jared Geiss placed 132nd with a 177 out of 200, Luke Buse placed 312th with a score of 159, and Carson Shaver was 481st with a score of 115. There were 498 shooters in the JV division.
Senior Varsity, Wyatt Anderson was 452nd with a score of 179, Delane Rubendall was 575th with a score of 174, Matt Nath was 896th with a 156, Daniel Melody was 950th with a 148, Matt Hardy was 960th with a 147, Corey Stoos was 986th with a 140. There were 1031 shooters in the mens Varsity division.
Ladies senior varsity Annabelle Snyder finished 135th with a 164. There were 229 shooters in her division. Thank you to everyone who supported this team this year and we are looking forward to next year!

I just want to say a huge thank you to Iowa Central Sports Shooting for letting us use their range today for our hit-a-thon fundraiser and to the college shooters for giving a s***t demonstration and helping our shooters shoot a round of s***t!!! It was a great afternoon. Thanks to everyone who pledged and donated and showed up today to watch. It is greatly appreciated!!!

It was a great day today at the range!! We traveled down to Dedham and had a great shoot! Congratulations to all the kids. Annabelle finished 3rd in the ladies senior division with a 41!!! For the mens senior division Jared finished 2nd, Matt Hardy finished 6th, Delane finished 11th, Wyatt finished 12th, Matt Nath finished 30th, Corey finished 56th, Keegan finished 60th, Luke finished 61st, Carson finished 62nd, Daniel finished 65th, and Cayson 71st, out of 71.
Squad 1 finished 1st!!!! Squad 2 finished 14th out of 19 squads!!!!

For yesterday's shoot we headed down to Avad hunt club, it was a good day to shoot. The first squad of Jared, Delane, Matt, Wyatt and Matt took 5th place today. The second squad of Corey, Daniel, Anne, Cayson and Luke took 13 out of 22 squads. Our top individual, Jared landed in 4th place with a score of 46 out of 50. Next weekend we head to Denison for an early morning shoot!

It was a busy day yesterday for the team! Started off with our first shoot of the season at Schaller, very windy day and the kids didn't shoot the best but we had one squad come away with a second place finish!! That squad was made up of Jared Geis, Delane Rubendall, Matt Hardy, Wyatt Anderson and Matt Nath. Matt Hardy was our highest placing shooter with 38 out of 50, placing him 6th out of the 80 plus shooters on the day. Not a bad start and looking forward to next weekend!!
Then we all went to the Calhoun County Pheasants Forever banquet and worked, helping serve the meal and helped with the live auction.
A very special thank you to the Calhoun County Pheasants Forever board and everyone that came out to the banquet for the continued support of this team, it is greatly appreciated!!

Pretty awesome to see 3 former SCC shooters at the collegiate nationals in San Antonio this week!! Congratulations Aiden Westcott, Hunter Winker and Nick Whipkey for making it this far!!

Aiden and Hunter Winker both SCC shooters got to shoot side by side in the competition. Pretty cool to see some early success!! Aiden shot a 98 out of 100 and Hunter shot a 94!
