Stepping Stones Preschool We are a preschool for children ages 2-5 years of age. For registration forms see: rockwallfmc.org We meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Our program is for children turning 2, 3, or 4 by September 1 of the current year. Our registration fee is $75.00. We have a supply fee of $60.00 due in September and another $60.00 due in January. [We will not ask for extra money for Field Trips or parties.] Our monthly tuition is $185.00, due on or before the 10th of each month, September through May. We offer early care and after care on an as needed basis from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The cost is $5.00 per use. However, if your child would be coming to either or both on a regular basis, we have put together a discounted price. We have both structured time and independent play. Our curriculum is centered around Unit Studies. Most of our academics (numbers, letters, colors, shapes, etc.) are blended in with our specific study for the week. We use some work sheets but also learn through a variety of games and activities. Some of our Unit Studies include: All About Me, Apples, Fire Prevention, Dental Health, Farm, Harvest/Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter, Space, Communication, Valentine’s Day, Texas/Rodeo, Dinosaurs, Spring, Easter, Insects, and Water. We have music class one day each week. This includes singing, movement, puppets, instruments, etc. We have P.E. class one day each week. This includes organized games, running, jumping, throwing, exercises, etc. We have beginning Spanish one day each week as well. This includes listening and understanding Spanish and speaking in Spanish. We incorporate basic Sign Language into our curriculum. We also include chapel in our schedule one day per week. This includes a Bible Story, questions about the story, prayer and a few songs. We have outside play when the weather is suitable. However, we have a gym available for those days we cannot play outside.

Ministry is filled with lots of “other related duties”. Sometimes they are unexpected. Sometimes they are not fun. Sometimes they are really fun.

Pastor Tim transformed into “Postmaster Tim” today to help our Stepping Stones Preschool children (our weekday preschool) learn more about the post office. He came in with his blue shirt, his ID badge, envelopes, letters, and stamps. There was even a mailbox!

Postmaster Tim showed a video that explained things inside and outside of the post office. Each child (all 49 of them) then purchased a stamp, placed it on their envelope, and mailed a Valentine to their parents.

Thanks, Pastor Tim, for stepping up and helping with whatever needs to be done. You are appreciated.

What a SUPER FUN day we had today! Our Rockwall Fire Department showed up big! They brought the ladder truck with four firefighters. They talked to us about STOP, DROP, and ROLL. We saw a firefighter suit up in his gear and were told what each piece did to help the firefighter keep safe, to allow him to help someone that might need him. We decided that a firefighter all suited up, wasn’t scary! He (or she) is a helpful friend!

Our registration for Fall 2023 opens to new students on March 1. We will have an Open House for those wanting to see our classrooms on Thursday evening, February 16, from 6:30-8:00 pm. Come and go. We will attempt to answer questions you might have at that time. … You are always welcome to call me at 972-772-7577 or email with other questions.

You will be able to pick up registration forms at that time. There will also be a payment option on our church website for paying the Registration Fee.

You can email the form or drop it by the church on March 1. You can make the payment on line or bring a check or cash by the church for the Registration Fee on March 1, as well.

We are a Tuesday/Thursday Preschool that meets from 9:00-2:30, September-May. We follow RockwallISD for breaks and weather closures.

Rodeo Day was the BEST! We roped a steer, tossed cow patties and eggs, threw some horse shoes, did a little calf roping, barrel raced, and had a milk pail relay. We did some Singin’ and Dancin’ and ate some grub! It was a FUN DAY!
