Both Symphonic Band and Honors Band earned Superior ratings from all six of our judges at UIL over the past two days!! We are so proud of the students and all of the hard work they have put in over the past several months in preparing for this week’s contest. Congratulations students! 💜 🎶

Our All-District band members have been hard at work since 5 PM yesterday, and will be performing at the Utley MS Performing Arts Center at 4 PM today! Come out and hear some incredible young musicians!

This past week our advanced band students went through a series of auditions, competing against hundreds of other students on their instruments. We are so proud of all who auditioned, and want to give a special congratulations to our 27 students who earned a place in the All-District Band, and 18 students who earned a place in the All-Region Band!
We are so proud of the hard work and growth that the students have demonstrated over the past several months! 💜

We are super excited to announce our newest team member — Ms. Becca Odom! Ms. Odom will be the primary director of Concert Band 1 alongside teaching beginners and working with all of the other students in the Cain Band program. Welcome to Cain Ms. Odom!

Our morning classes at Cain MS enjoyed a great performance by the TAMU Commerce Woodwind Quintet yesterday. This ensemble features one of our flute teachers, Jessica Schaumburg, and a Cain Band alumni on bassoon. Thank you to these wonderful musicians for sharing their music with us!
