Fun times at Chick-fil-a for our last G4G meeting. The girls, chatted, ate, played a little and then circled up and were prayed over.
💜 G4G will have an end of the year breakfast this Friday 5/20 💜
We will meet at Chick-fil-a @ 7:00am.
You are more than welcome to stay with your daughter for breakfast, or you can just drop her off.
Please let me know if your daughter will be attending and will need a ride to Hays, so we can make sure we have enough cars to transport.
🚨NO GIRLS FOR GOD TOMORROW🚨
We are figuring out our last meeting and will let you know the date ASAP!
Friday May 6th @ 7:15 @ 6th grade science lab
🍩 FREE DONUTS 🍩
Thank you so much for allowing your daughter to attend Girlz 4 God this year.
We are so thankful to have had such a wonderful group of girls this year. We studied and learned so much about God’s word. We spoke truth from the Bible and discussed the hard stuff of life. We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet with your daughter each week.
Friday, we will remind them that God is always with them. The Bible says that his wings cover us because he is our helper and our strength. We want to remind the girls that even though there are lots of unknowns in middle school, God is with them. There is nothing in middle school that God does not already know about. He wants to give them strength and courage for the adventure ahead.
⭐️ We will meet one more week 5/13, for an END OF THE YEAR gathering ⭐️
Only a few more G4G meetings…hope your daughter can make it Friday 4/29 @ 7:15 in the 6th Science Lab. 🍩 Free Donuts 🍩
All of us are uniquely created by God. We like different things, look different, act different, sleep different, learn different, etc. I think God did
that on purpose! How boring would it be if we all only liked tacos?
For our girls, there is a point in life where choosing different things gets more personal. They feel left out of a group; their friends change because their
"likes' change, or they may even change themselves to fit in. Friday we want to remind them that they belong to God. He likes us...LOVES US, no matter what.
Hope your girls can make it this Friday 4/22 @ 7:15, Sixth Grade Science Lab
Free donuts 🍩 and our speaker is a former runway model with an incredible testimony. It is sure to be amazing.
Spring is here! You can feel it in the air and see it on our girls...ahem, short-shorts! This will probably be a never-ending battle; one that our mothers/ grandmothers/great-grandmothers fought.
This is not the most terrible of all sins or the greatest fight in all of history. This is real life and the Bible can
handle it. The variety of clothing choices is astounding. We walk into the mall and get overwhelmed with ALL THE CHOICES. There's more than you can ever wade through from crop tops to cut-off denim shorts that barely cover anything, and it all costs too much.
Today we start the conversation of what clothing can and can't do. It can get you attention, but that
attention is momentary and shallow. It can make you popular, but not for the right reasons. Clothing is on the surface. It covers our bodies, but Jesus sees straight to our hearts. He cares about who we are on the inside. He wants us to imitate his character. kindness and love, not dress to impress or chase the latest trend. Jesus is timeless and always true.

This week we will search scripture to discover why music is more than a beat.
Music and song have a purpose.
- To express awe at the mighty wonders of God
- To call to mind the truth of God, what he commanded and promised, what he showcased in miracles and gifts
- To praise him for good things and ways he rescued/saved
- To say things that were uplifting, helpful, encouraging
If music is sharing a message with our minds and hearts, then we need to choose wisely what we allow into them. Secular music doesn’t always support the truth and commands of the Bible. It often highlights negative ideas, bad behaviors and foul language. The people writing and singing them are lifting themselves up to be worshipped and adored. That is not what God says is right. Music is more than a beat; it’s a message. What messages are we listening to? What messages are we giving to others?

Girls 4 God is back this week 😊 and we are talking about Worthy of Praise
Our children will grow up never knowing life without a smartphone; it's a natural part of their everyday life. It is useful, helpful, and fun. It can also be dangerous, much like anything in our world today. There is always a way for something good to take over and begin ruling us. That is the discussion that’s I’ll be presented on Friday. Do we rule our phones, or do they rule us???
The Center for Parent and Youth Understanding is a great resource for parents of teenagers. "At a time when an already confusing youth culture is changing quickly, CPYU helps parents, youth workers, educators, and others understand teenagers and their culture so that they will be better equipped to help children and teens navigate the challenging
world of adolescence." (cpyu.org) They review current music, movies and technology. Use this link to read an article by Walt Mueller, their founder,
and watch this video on our culture's addiction to smartphones. I am including the link in the parent email as well.
Disclaimer: There is one curse word in the latter part of the video.

Promise of the Week:
I promise to set wise boundaries that will help my phone stay a part of my life, but not become my life.
Memory Verse: Proverbs 25:28 (NLT), "A person without self-control is like acity with broken-down walls."
Kids and Entertainment: Teaching Discernment How can I help my kids make wise media choices? I'm extremely frustrated with the growing toxicity of so-called "entertainment," but short of moving to the Amazon jungle or the middle of the Sahara desert, I can't completely shield my children from all of it. It seems the only answer is to equip the...
Please meet at the flagpole in the morning at 6:25 for a quick prayer before our GIRLS head out for an awesome field trip!
No G4G this week because of the field trip. We will pick back up next week.

Tomorrow we will study 'whatever is good' from our THRPPGEW list.
The world sees as good as things we can do for ourselves. We can eat good food and be healthy. We can study hard and get good grades. We can pick good stocks and make money. We can control the good in our lives. God defines good differently. Good is what Jesus did for us, even though we didn't ask for it. Good is what Jesus gave us, even though we didn't deserve it. Good is what we are today,
even though we don't earn it and can't add to it by anything we do. Good starts with God. Once I know where good comes from, I can overflow it onto those around me.
A suggestion would be read 1 Peter 4:10-11 with your daughter and discuss how she can share good gifts with others…
•Where do our gifts come from?
•How should we use them?
•Who gets the glory?
