Mis Manitos Child Care Mis Manitos Child Care offers Spanish immersion in Rockville, MD in a safe, nurturing, play-based setting. Children are treated with respect and kindness.

Our multicultural, mixed-age community encourages learning, leadership, social skills, and kindergarten readiness. In “Mis Manitos” Child Care, children are given the opportunity to explore materials and participate in a variety of experiences. Activities are carefully planned and implemented in an open-classroom setting. Children are free to choose from age-appropriate activities including art, m

usic, language development, pre-math skills, science and nature, and dramatic play. Children develop self-esteem, independence and problem-solving skills as they make choices and assist in planning the environment and the activities. Our primary goal is for children to feel safe and secure. Prior to being independent a child must know that he or she can depend on adults and a predictable environment. I recognize that children develop at different rates and have different interest.

This is the first time a First Aid class for parents has been organized at Mis Manitos, and our expectations were fully met! Providing babysitting and pizza for the children was a huge help, allowing parents to attend the class with a more relaxed state of mind. Parents expressed their gratitude to Mis Manitos for coordinating this class that is so important and necessary for our daily lives. We also want to thank our First Aid (Child and Adult CPR) instructor, Dr. Meylin Mejía, for coming to Mis Manitos and dedicating her time to teaching this course; she is an excellent educator who truly met the attendees' expectations. Highly recommended!
