This Halloween, students from the College of Information at College Park and Shady Grove campuses came together for the annual Maryland Initiative for Digital Accessibility (MIDA) Accessibility Design Challenge! π οΈβ¨ In teams, they designed amazing tools to support their peers, from accessible bridges to a smart classroom chair and even an automated mobility suit!
Dressed in their Halloween best, our talented students showed that creativity and inclusion go hand-in-hand. π»π‘ Together, they're building a more accessible future!

π Last week, we hosted an inspiring Senior Panel Discussion where our amazing students shared their summer 2024 internship journeys at top organizations like Amazon, IBM, the State Department, and the Office of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs! πΊπΈπ»
Our seniors spoke about where they searched for internships, their experiences with the application and interview processes, and what their day-to-day looked like at their internships. They also highlighted the valuable on-campus resources and activities theyβve engaged in during their time in the program.
We are so proud of their accomplishments and canβt wait to see what they achieve next!
