After 22 years serving in her administrative role—and years before that as a devoted St. Mary’s School parent— it is with deep gratitude, and a touch of sadness, that we announce Mrs. Ellen Finnell’s retirement this summer.
For decades, Mrs. Finnell has been one of the first friendly faces to welcome families through our doors, greeting everyone with her signature smile and warm heart. Throughout her time at St. Mary’s, she has worn countless hats, worked long days, and quietly dedicated herself to the students, families, faculty, and parish community she loves. To so many, she has become far more than an administrator—she is a trusted friend, a helping hand, and a familiar, comforting presence.
As she begins this well-earned new chapter, Mrs. Finnell is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, traveling, and making treasured memories with her children and grandchildren.
While her daily presence at St. Mary’s will be deeply missed, we couldn’t be happier for her as she begins this exciting new season of life.
Although Mrs. Finnell isn’t on social media (smart lady!😉) we hope you’ll join us in celebrating her incredible years of service. Please leave a comment with your favorite memory or a heartfelt congratulations, and your kind words are sure to make their way to her! 🥰
