Ready to get out of the heat? 😎 Join us next week (July 6-10) for STEM Camp at the Rockville Science Center. We are excited to introduce a new program in the mornings where we'll journey through the human body learning about the major systems and how they work to help us function every day. We have lots of hands-on activities planned from building a model lung to learning about the nervous system by testing our reflexes. Then, in the afternoons, we'll put our maker hats on and explore the intersection between science and art with some fun projects including 3D printing, laser engraving and the always fun slimefest!

Grab your lab coat and your hard hat...we're diving into the world of life sciences and engineering next week at the Rockville Science Center's STEM Camp. The week will be chock full of hands-on learning designed to show kids how much fun STEM really is! In the mornings we'll learn how scientists explore and test new ideas using the scientific method, discover how humans evolved and explore what our DNA says about us. Afternoons will be all about building everything from bridges to electromagnetic motors. Learn to think like an engineer as you build prototypes, solve problems, and refine your designs.
