See you all tomorrow at Rockville Science Day! Rockville Science Center is always doing incredible work!

Rockville Science Day is coming up on Sunday, April 26 and we're guessing that some of you might assume that this event is mostly just for kids. We're here to tell you that you are missing out. Rockville Science Day is for absolutely anyone who has an interest in STEM.

We are expecting over 130 exhibitors, and while there's tons to keep the younger attendees busy, there are also a lot of exhibits that target teens/adults. Come check out the latest electric vehicles, visit with staff from NSA's National Cryptologic Museum and see a WWII Enigma machine, learn about local conservation efforts, interact with a 1970's PDP-8 computer operating a Calcomp Plotter, talk with local makers, and so much more.

And if that's not enough to bring you out, we are also offering a series of small talks in Room 124 of the Science Building. Join us starting at 1:30 PM for a series of talks that last about 30 minutes each. It's a great way to get a taste of our regular lecture series that happens year round!

Make plans now to join us for Rockville Science Day on Sunday, April 26, noon - 5:00 PM on the Rockville campus of Montgomery College. Science Day is the biggest STEM festival in Montgomery County and we can't wait to see you there!

A huge congratulations to one of our most beloved teachers, who helped hundreds of students begin to hear their own syntax through insightful editing and thoughtful revision. We applaud you, Ms. Sufiya! And we miss you. ♥️ Our kids in 12th grade and above will now have this next book of yours on their required reading list!

"I believe in this ability to feel the interior of other people even though they are far away or even though you don't know them personally."

In our official interview, Han Kang describes how her love for reading started in childhood, her creative process, writers block, and her experience with imagination.

Kang was awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature for her intense poetic prose that confronts historical traumas and exposes the fragility of human life.
