Hurrican Helene Assistance weblpage
Hurricane Helene Southeast USA More than 600 people are missing or unaccounted for in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, according to the White House. Some 2 million people are without power. Roads blocked by debris and downed communication lines have hampered search and rescue efforts.
Namaskar. The Margiis in Asheville and Marshall have created a Neighborhood Bulletin and have been sharing and caring for each other in the last week (I am subscribed to it.) It started with Jiivanmukta and others warning everyone of the storm and giving advise on how to prepare. And then the electricity went down for three days. Most of the Margiis had emergency food storages and were ok. They seem to be now moving in the direction of helping others and there was a post mentioning a volunteer meeting and some plans for how to team up with other NGOs.
So things seem to be moving positively there and the Margii community is working together to deal with the situation. Ac.Diiptimanananda Avt
