visited Scheiber Sándor Gimnázium és Általános Iskola in Budapest, leading a workshop on Jewish Identity of the family for our Gesher Ambassadors before their Immersive Week travel to Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School in March

Today Violetta Varga had the chance to meet Rachel Levitt Klein Dratch , our beloved Benny Klein’s Mom, who is now organizing a seminar for educators from different parts of the world. She met Rachel around ten years ago Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School. Since then changes have happened in their lives. Rachel moved to Israel and became the Director of International Programs Department of ANU Museum of the Jewish People https://anumuseum.org.il/
She is now leading this seminar in Budapest and due to Alan Reinitz we could get in touch with her. She was happy to get in touch and invited me for the seminar, which I attended and enjoyed it very much.
She and her wonderful colleague are visiting Scheiber Sándor Gimnázium és Általános Iskola tomorrow, and gives us chance to show them around and tell them about our school. The following day Rachel is coming back to have a workshop with two groups of students. One of these groups are our amazing Gesher Ambassadors who are soon taking part on the immersive week at Beth Tfiloh. This workshop will be useful for them before the programm.
What a wonderful bridge we have built due to SOS International Enriching Jewish Identities.
No matter where we are, once we get connected to each other, there is no way of losing each other.
Who would have thought that one day we would meet here in Budapest?

Our Gesher Ambassadirs Program teams from Scheiber Sándor Gimnázium és Általános Iskola and Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School have just had their first social club meeting of 2026 where our Ambassadors from both schools gathered and introduced themselves. We are looking forward to our next meetings before our immersive weeks starts. This year Schebier School students will travel to Beth Tfiloh.

A képen látható iskolánk pár éve elballagott diákjaival, akik nagy szeretettel várták őt. Ők és ez a kellemesen eltöltött kis közös időtöltés az ékes bizonyítéka annak, hogy ez az immáron 10. éve tartó kapcsolat az iskola falain kívül is folytatódik. Életre szóló barátságok alakulnak itt.
