✨ Meet Our Board | Rick Hobbs ✨

Next up in our PCCF Board of Directors Spotlight series is our Treasurer, Rick Hobbs! ❤️

A lifelong Parke County resident, Rick was born and raised on a family farm near Marshall and has spent his life dedicated to education, public service, and his community. He enjoyed a 35-year career with the Lafayette School Corporation, serving 15 years as a teacher and 20 years as an elementary school principal. 🍎📚

Following retirement, Rick was looking for another way to give back to the community he has always called home and found the perfect fit at PCCF! Drawing on his years of experience with budgeting, finance, and leadership, Rick joined our Finance Committee and now serves as Treasurer of our Board of Directors.

🌱 Nearly seven years later, Rick continues to be inspired by the generosity of Parke County donors and is passionate about helping PCCF responsibly steward and grow its assets to create opportunities for generations to come.

And his Parke County roots still run deep! 🚜 Rick continues to farm alongside his three younger brothers in the Marshall and Bloomingdale areas.

We are grateful for the knowledge, leadership, and dedication Rick brings to PCCF and our community. Help us show our Treasurer some love! 👏❤️

🎬 The show must go on… and so must the renovations! 👀

The Ritz Theater was able to get started on some exciting renovations thanks in part to a large grant from the Parke County Community Foundation, made possible through Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT IX initiative and the Overpeck Restoration and Preservation Fund. But there’s still more work to be done!

From new seating to continued improvements throughout this historic Parke County landmark, the Ritz has some exciting plans ahead, and they’ve come up with a pretty clever way for the community to help make them happen. 😉🍿

Next time you’re at the Ritz, take a look around… you might just spot something new. 👀

✨ Meet Our Board | Bill Livers ✨

Next up in our PCCF Board of Directors Spotlight series is our Vice Chair, William “Bill” Livers! ❤️

Bill has dedicated much of his career to supporting children and families in Parke County. He spent more than 35 years as the elementary school social worker for Southwest Parke Community School Corporation, retiring at the end of 2024. Today, he is semi-retired and continues serving students part-time as a school psychologist with the Wabash River Student Services Cooperative. 🎓

🏡 Bill first moved to Parke County in 1985 to work as a clinical therapist at Hamilton Center and has called our community home ever since. Over the years, he has volunteered with PCCF on several committees and now serves as Vice Chair of our Board of Directors. He especially values the generosity of Parke County residents and the difference that generosity can make throughout our community. ❤️

Bill continues to give back outside of PCCF by volunteering with the Rosedale food pantry. You might also spot him supporting Indiana State University Athletics, where he enjoys working as an usher! 🏀💙

When he isn’t working or volunteering, Bill enjoys time with his wife, Tina Hills-Livers, and their two children, Adam and Sarah.

We are grateful for Bill’s years of service to Parke County and the experience, compassion, and dedication he brings to PCCF. Help us show our Vice Chair some love! 👏❤️

✨ Meet Our Board | Alisa Wilson ✨

We’re kicking off our PCCF Board of Directors Spotlight series by introducing our Board Chair, Alisa Wilson! ❤️

A lifelong Parke County resident and retired kindergarten teacher, Alisa has been involved with the Parke County Community Foundation since 2019. During her time with PCCF, she has served on several committees and especially enjoyed her work with the Scholarship Committee, where she has seen firsthand the lasting impact scholarships can have on local students and our community. 🎓

🏡 Alisa proudly describes Parke County as “God’s Country”: a beautiful, historic, and welcoming place filled with iconic covered bridges and, most importantly, a strong sense of community. Her love for the place she has always called home continues to inspire her service as our Board Chair.

Alisa’s dedication to Parke County extends well beyond PCCF! She serves as a trustee at Hopewell Friends Quaker Meeting and on the Montezuma Public Library Board. She is also involved with the Parke/Vermillion Retired Teachers, Parke County Historical Society, and Rockville Elks Lodge #2471. 🤝

❤️ When she isn’t serving her community, Alisa and her husband, Paul, stay busy cheering on their 12 grandchildren at all of their activities!

We are so grateful for Alisa’s leadership, dedication, and heart for Parke County. Help us show our Board Chair some love! 👏❤️
