Mayorga Coffee
Latino-Owned Organic Specialty Coffee Company. We roast and sell coffee that is better for our farmers, for the planet, and for you. Join the movement!
We believe that the root cause of systemic poverty in Latin America is the manner in which agricultural products have been grown, financed, and traded since the 1800’s. Small farmers—usually in remote areas—have been affected the most because they have not had access to quality education, training, financing, or distributors that sell directly to retailers or consumers. Some mornings don't need much. ☕️
Just a moka pot, some Artesano, and a few quiet minutes before the day gets going.
How did you brew your coffee today?
This is how we get your orders to you 🫵
So I’ve been learning how to roast our organic coffee here at Mayorga the past couple weeks,
But now I’m finally stepping into our small production where we fulfill your coffee orders and ship them directly to you :)
It was cool to actually see the names and places where people were ordering coffee from and it gave me a lot of pride to know that so many people love and support what we’re doing here at Mayorga.

The coffee industry deserves more criticism than it gets.
For years, we've normalized cheap coffee, exploitative practices, and farming methods that take from both people and the land without asking enough questions. We decided from the start that we didn't want to be part of that.
That's why we chose to be certified organic, do regenerative farming, have direct relationships with producers, and do third-party quality testing.
Maybe it's time we start questioning what's normal.
Every coffee plant starts somewhere. 🌱
Part 2 of our visit to the nursery at La Hermosa, Guatemala — this time taking a closer look at the incubation stage, where young coffee plants develop the strength they’ll need before making their way into the field.

Becoming a Junior roaster 😎
In this episode we had Junior roasters in the building learning their way through the facility and seeing the hard work their parents put in every day.
After learning to roast here I’ve gained to much appreciation for all the hard work everyone at Mayorga puts in every day to our coffee and it was super cool to see the kids feel that same excitement as well

Some words don't have a perfect translation. ☕️
"La sobremesa" is one of them — that moment after a meal when nobody rushes away from the table, the coffee comes out, and the conversation keeps going. Stories are shared, memories are made, and time slows down for a little while.
In many Latin American homes, some of the best conversations happen after the meal is over. What's your favorite sobremesa memory? ❤️
This is what the coffee community looks like. ☕️
Scenes from the producers' assembly at Capucas — a space where coffee farmers come together to share knowledge, discuss challenges, strengthen relationships, and continue building a stronger future for coffee together. These gatherings are an important part of sustaining long-term partnerships, supporting coffee-growing communities, and keeping traditions and innovation moving forward side by side.
