Choose Respect Montgomery includes four major components:
1. The Choose Respect Annual Event is held in the spring of each year. The Choose Respect Montgomery video contest is open to teens in middle and high school and challenges them to research the issue of teen dating violence and to create a 60 second video on the topic. Today at , we honored the legacy of our former board member by presenting the Cheryl Kravitz Voice for Respect Award.
Choose Respect was deeply important to Cheryl. She believed strongly that helping young people understand respect, recognize warning signs of unhealthy relationships, and know where to turn for help could make a lasting difference.
Cheryl’s passion for this work and her dedication to our community touched many lives. By lifting up student voices through this award, we are proud to honor Cheryl and the impact she made in Montgomery County.
Her commitment to education, prevention, and supporting young people continues to inspire this work every day. We are grateful for Cheryl’s lasting impact on this work and the many lives she touched in our community.
