Exploring the Forest Floor! Our little campers ventured beneath the rainforest canopy to discover the fascinating creatures that call the forest floor home. Through hands-on exploration and meaningful conversations, they learned about snakes 🐍, frogs 🐸, insects 🪳, and other remarkable rainforest animals 🦎🐢🦜. In true Montessori fashion, each discovery was guided by the children's natural curiosity, inspiring them to observe closely, ask thoughtful questions, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world. The Stage Is Set for Our Rainforest Adventure! This week marks the exciting beginning of our Journey Through the Rainforest Summer program at White Flint Children’s House. Our little explorers arrived to discover thoughtfully prepared environments designed to ignite their curiosity and wonder as we kick off a seven-week exploration of one of the world’s most fascinating ecosystems. From the forest floor to the towering canopy, every classroom has been transformed to inspire discovery, creativity, and adventure.

Over the coming weeks, students will explore rainforest animals, plants, cultures, habitats, and ecosystems through hands-on Montessori experiences, outdoor play, art, music, science, and imaginative exploration. We can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us!

What a beautiful celebration of the cultures, traditions, and stories that make the WFCH community so special!

Our annual Diversity Night brought families together through music, cultural exhibits, a fashion show, and a delicious international potluck featuring dishes from around the world. Thank you to everyone who shared their heritage and helped make this evening such a meaningful celebration of diversity, inclusion, and community!

What a "Spa-tacular Week" it has been here at White Flint Children's House! Our parents truly went above and beyond this year to show their appreciation for the work we do as teachers, and our hearts are full of gratitude.

We were proud to welcome Montessori educators from around the world to White Flint Children’s House last week as part of this year’s AMS Conference in Washington, DC. As one of just eight selected tour schools in the area, our classrooms were open for observation—offering a window into the thoughtful, child-centered work that unfolds here each day.

Guests had the opportunity to experience our classrooms in action, connect with our dedicated teachers, and see firsthand the independence, focus, and joy that define a Montessori environment. Following the tour, we gathered for a warm reception featuring student artwork, refreshments, and time to connect as a global Montessori community. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
