Passing the baton from one great leader to the next! 💜 Thank you to Dawn Potosky for her tremendous service to the Alumni Association, serving as president for the past two years!

We’re excited to announce that Anita Neal Powell will be stepping into the role as president for the next academic year. Anita is a tireless advocate for Montgomery College and we have no doubt that she’ll continue to do great things.

We'd also like to give a special shoutout to Micheala from the Montgomery County Public Schools Summer RISE program for joining tonight’s Board of Governors meeting. Micheala is a rising junior at Richard Montgomery HS and she’ll be interning with us this summer! Great meeting to wrap up the academic year!

Between the MC alumni branded hats 🧢, free alumni swag 🔥, the fresh step and repeat 📸, beautiful flowers 💐, and more, we hope all new graduates feel inspired to get involved! We look forward to seeing you at Pinstripes on June 18th for Recent Alumni Networking Night!

On Monday, we welcomed four new honorary members to the Alumni Association. Congratulations to Les Levine, Marsha Levine, Sonia Mora, and Julian Norment for receiving the prestigious Honorary Degree Award! 🏅

The Honorary Degree Program is a longstanding tradition at Montgomery College to recognize individuals who have attained eminence in their fields, demonstrated a record of public service, or made notable contributions to the college.

This year’s recipients were recognized during a luncheon surrounded by family members, special guests, and college leadership. They were also presented with diplomas at the Dr. Harry Harden Jr. Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony. It was a fitting moment to celebrate their excellence surrounded by our brightest students!
