Ken Timmerman will be the featured speaker at the Rockville Kiwanis breakfast meeting at 7:30am on February 16th at the Faculty Lounge of Montgomery College, Rockville Campus.
Mr. Timmerman is a well known investigative reporter and author. He has covered many wars and was co-nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize with John Bolton in 2006 by the former Deputy Premier of Sweden.
Ken is an authentic expert on national defense and intelligence issues who has testified before Congress on Russian missile sales, Iran's nuclear weapons programs, and other issues of national security. He is also the president of Foundation for Democracy in Iran and has worked with pro-democracy groups in Iran for two decades.
His books incude Countdown Crisis: The Coming Nuclear Showdown with Iran and Preachers of Hate: Islam and The War in America.

"Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that our Silver Spring Judy Center event was a tremendous success! Special thanks to our volunteers Harry, Jan, Georgia, Hillary, Kim, Gina, and Sharon who represented First Book – Montgomery County.
Over 150 kids received brand new books, funded by our First Book – MC grant earlier this year. In addition to distributing books, our wonderful volunteers helped make the night extra special with a bookmark-making station, providing healthy snacks (donated by our own Hillary), and working as special helpers for the arts-and-craft reading activities.
