Parke Heritage High School sophomore Michael Smith and junior Carly Newnum were recognized during the boys basketball game against Riverton Parke. They both received Character Counts Awards from the West Central Indiana Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Both athletes were nominated for their efforts during basketball season. The award honors those student-athletes who display the four value of FCA: Integrity, Service, Teamwork, and Excellence.
Presenting Michael and Carly with their awards are Joe Summers from West Central Indiana FCA and Andy Sutton of Advisors Commercial Real Estate, the Character Counts sponsor for both Parke County schools.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who came out during the Parke Heritage vs. Riverton Parke games. Your kindness, generosity, and encouragement meant more than we can express.

Because of you, we were able to honor the memory of Jackson Hartman in a meaningful way. All proceeds from the dirty soda fundraiser will go toward the Alyvia Hartman College Fund.

Parke Heritage NHS will be selling dirty sodas on Saturday, February 14 during the JV and Varsity basketball games vs. Riverton Parke.

🕚 JV tip-off is at 11:00 AM, with Varsity to follow.

This fundraiser is being held in loving memory of our student, Jackson Hartman. All proceeds will go toward the Alyvia Hartman College Fund.

Stop by during the RP vs. PH game, grab a drink, and help us honor Jackson’s memory 🤍🖤

Update: Unfortunately, the Parke Heritage vs. Riverton Parke game has been postponed. As a result, our NHS dirty soda fundraiser will also be postponed.

We plan to hold the fundraiser when we play Riverton Parke, with the new date currently TBD. Please continue to watch for updates.

Jackson attended both Parke Heritage and Riverton Parke, and his loss is felt deeply in both communities. All proceeds will go toward the Alyvia Hartman College Fund.
