What an incredible day for Molloy University!

The total is in! Thanks to the amazing generosity of our sponsors, alumni, families, friends, and community partners, the 2026 Molloy Golf Classic raised a record-breaking $330,000. This is the largest amount ever raised in the event's history!

Every dollar raised will help support student scholarships, the Student Success Fund, and programs that make a Molloy education possible for deserving students.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was hearing from recent graduate and scholarship recipient JC Kiss, who shared how financial support made his Molloy journey possible. His story is a powerful reminder of the real impact your generosity has on our students' lives.

From the golf course and pickleball courts to the dinner celebration, this event showcased the strength of the Molloy community and our shared commitment to student success.
Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, volunteered, and contributed. Because of you, more students will have access to the opportunities and support they need to thrive.
Together, we are making a lasting difference.

The Time is Right to Become a Teacher in New York 08/11/2026

New York is facing a critical teacher shortage that demands action.

In a new guest essay for Newsday, Molloy University School of Education and Human Services Dean Melissa McCardle and Associate Dean Vicky Giouroukakis examine the challenges facing the teaching profession and what it will take to strengthen the pipeline of educators for New York’s classrooms.

As a university deeply committed to preparing the next generation of educators, Molloy recognizes that addressing this shortage requires much more than just recruiting new teachers. It requires rethinking how educators are prepared, supported and retained, while creating pathways that encourage talented individuals to enter and remain in the profession.

As the need for qualified teachers continues to grow, higher education plays an increasingly important role in shaping solutions.

Meet Liz, Class of ‘29 🦁👋

This summer, Liz traveled to Italy, where she participated in the Atlantis Program, gaining firsthand experience inside the operating room by shadowing doctors and observing surgeries at one of the country’s leading cancer hospitals. She even learned how to suture!

“I’m very grateful that I participated in the Atlantis Program. Although I’m still early in my nursing journey, this experience further solidified my decision to pursue nursing and gave me a better idea of the type of nurse I could become.”

Outside the hospital, she spent her free time exploring Italy, visiting Switzerland, and making memories she’ll never forget 🌍🩺✨
