South Side High School held the Breakfast of Champions, a time for teachers to recognize the unsung heroes in school: students who quietly represent the qualities of respect towards others, responsibility, caring, fairness, trustworthiness, and citizenship.

South Side High School and Rockville Centre celebrate Pride!

South Side’s Gay Straight Alliance worked with RVC Pride and the Rockville Centre Mayor’s Office to put together a proclamation declaring June as Pride Month in RVC!

The GSA marked the occasion with a ceremony at the high school. Scott Ressman from RVC Pride gave a powerful speech, the South Side High School Chamber Choir sang a beautiful song, and Kathy Baxley, Deputy Mayor and School Liaison, read the official proclamation to the crowd!

RVC Schools presents Centre Stage!

On June 2nd and 3rd at 7 PM in the South Side High School Auditorium, RVC Schools is happy to present “Centre Stage in TV Land”! Our inclusive drama program features students from the High School, Middle School, and Elementary schools!

Get ready for an entertaining program of singing and dancing in Centre Stage style through the world of television and cartoons! Tickets for the event are available through the link in our bio, or on the front page of the RVC website! We can’t wait to see you there!

It’s Funday Monday!

Over 270 fifth-graders from all over the District gathered at the RVC Sports Complex to join with the High School members of Athletes Helping Athletes to play in games led by high school students and to meet their peers who they will be joining with next year at the Middle School.

Students from each of the schools combined to make teams and compete in kickball, steal the bacon, tug-of-war, running bases, capture the flag, sideline soccer, European team handball, race chase, and even crab soccer using a giant bouncy ball!

Mr. Matthew Gaven has been appointed by the Rockville Centre Board of Education as the new Superintendent of the Rockville Centre School District.

Mr. Gaven will begin as Superintendent on July 1st, 2022. Welcome to the district Mr. Gaven!
