RVC schools are getting active!
The elementary schools kicked off the summer with field day! Students ran, competed in games, ate barbecue, danced to music, had ice cream, and even got to run through the water from a fire hose.
The events were great opportunities to release the kids’ energy, and a sign of a great summer to come!

It’s Funday Monday!
Over 270 fifth-graders from all over the District gathered at the RVC Sports Complex to join with the High School members of Athletes Helping Athletes to play in games led by high school students and to meet their peers who they will be joining with next year at the Middle School.
Students from each of the schools combined to make teams and compete in kickball, steal the bacon, tug-of-war, running bases, capture the flag, sideline soccer, European team handball, race chase, and even crab soccer using a giant bouncy ball!

Watson School is abuzz with theater!
Watson second graders performed in the play “To Bee or Not to Bee” earlier this week! The cast, composed of students from Mrs. Spallino-Ford’s and Mrs. Simon’s classes sang many bee-themed songs while telling the journey of a group of bees’ quest to become honeybees!
The buzz is in, and it says that these busy little bees are all rockstars!
