🐝✨ Sending out a big THANK YOU to our sweet Ellison, who is an alumni of Old Stone.
She is entering 7th grade, and for her National Junior Honor Society project she is currently raising money to buy Lifevac anti-choking devices for various businesses within our community.

Elli wants to be a teacher, and because she has such fond memories here at Old Stone she stopped in today to donate the device to us.

How lucky are we to have these full circle moments ~ watching our little worker bees turn into such amazing productive young adults giving back to our community!

And just like that our little worker bees are flying off to Kindergarten! 🐝💛🎓

Next week is a BIG week for our preschool friends and their parents! 📚🎒
Watching our preschool friends grow from little ones into confident, curious, and caring children has been such a special journey. We’ve watched them learn, laugh, make friends, overcome challenges, and discover just how much they are capable of.

It’s always bittersweet saying goodbye. Our hearts are so full of pride, but we will certainly miss those smiles, giggles, hugs, and all the moments that made each day special! 💕

Absolutely 💯 💛🐝

“Engagement” is a neurological state. When young children’s brains are highly engaged, i.e., they are processing information and ideas, accompanied by heightened emotion, they are learning more. Active play readily puts young children’s brains in that state.

Seek engagement and take the leap of faith that learning will follow. Let young children play. Step back and trust their brains to do what they do best: learn.
