Western Sierra’s Min Qu Named 2025 Placer County Middle School Teacher of the Year
We are excited to share that Min Qu, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy’s Mandarin teacher, was recently featured in the Placer County Office of Education’s Yours in Education video in honor of being named the 2025 Placer County Middle School Teacher of the Year. (Her spotlight begins at the 17:20 mark.)

Ms. Qu’s program is vibrant, engaging, and truly unique in Placer County. She is widely admired by students, families, and colleagues for the strong relationships she builds and the joyful, inclusive learning environment she creates.

PCOE Superintendent Gayle Garbolino shared that Ms. Qu has done an “absolutely remarkable job” and is “one of a kind” in our region. Her impact is felt well beyond her classroom, and we are so proud to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.

What a sweet way to wrap up this year's WSCA Annual Giving Campaign! Students and staff are celebrating together with donuts and smiles all around.
