Our Young Toddlers, Toddler 1, and Toddler 2 classes are bringing this week’s curriculum question, “How Do We Communicate?” to LIFE! 🌟

From giant telephones 📞 and messages in a bottle 💌 to pretend TVs 📺 and classic cup-and-string phones, our little learners are exploring the many ways we connect and communicate with one another!

Through creative, play-based, STEM-focused activities, our toddlers are building language skills, sparking curiosity, and discovering the magic of communication! 🧠✨

We’re so excited to introduce CHESS to our preschool classrooms this school year! Our little learners have been loving the opportunity to try something new, and we were amazed by how engaged, curious, and excited they were to learn! 🧠✨

Through chess, our preschoolers are building problem-solving skills, practicing patience, thinking ahead, and learning that even our youngest minds are capable of BIG strategies! ♟️💛

ONE MAN’S TRASH IS A PRESCHOOLER’S ART TREASURE!

Who knew recycled materials could turn into a masterpiece?

Our teachers took everyday recycled materials and transformed them into art vessels, then handed them over to our little artists to work their magic!

The children explored colors, textures, creativity, and self-expression as they turned something that may have been tossed away into a one-of-a-kind MASTERPIECE! :

Yesterday we celebrated National Play-Doh Day, and boy, was it FUN! 🤩 Each class got hands-on and made their very own Play-Doh from scratch!

Our little scientists measured, stirred, poured, mixed, squished, smashed, and created their way through a day full of sensory fun and learning! 🧪🙌

Who knew a little flour, water, and imagination could create so much FUN?! We did!

We want to take a moment to recognize a few very special awards that were presented during this year’s Teacher In-Service Training!

We are incredibly lucky to have a team filled with teachers who bring so much heart, creativity, positivity, and dedication to Rocklin Goddard each and every day. These awards recognize just a few of the many ways our teachers make our school such a special place!

Miss Brooks — The Sunshine Award
For bringing amazing energy, encouragement, and optimism to our school—even on the challenging days! Miss Brooks has a way of bringing sunshine wherever she goes!

Miss Christine S. — The Heart of Goddard Award
For demonstrating exceptional warmth, compassion, and genuine love for our children and families. Her caring heart shines through in everything she does!

Such a FUN morning with our amazing grandparents! 💕

In celebration of National Grandparents Day this Sunday, we invited our wonderful grandparents to join us for a special morning of breakfast and BINGO! 🥞☕️🎉

There were lots of smiles, laughs, and sweet memories made together. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did! 💛

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
